4-I guide
When they went back to their families, they went back joking and pleased with themselves.
Start with bismillah.
Shout "hello" in a big empty hall, a tunnel or a stairwell. Ask: "What came back to you?"
Watch the UNSW video "What's An Echo?".
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "How did they feel when they went home?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Do our words come back to us?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Mutaffifin is surah 83. Find ayah 31. The key word fakihin means amused, joking. They went home happy about mocking the believers, not knowing their words would come back to them on the Day of Judgement.
Fact: How does an echo happen, and how do bats use echoes?
Ages 5–8: Echo hunt. Find places where your voice echoes (bathroom, stairwell, tunnel). Which gives the loudest echo?
Ages 9–12: Echo distance. Find out how to work out the distance to a cliff by timing an echo.
Finish with: "I found that an echo happens when ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will think before I speak: is it kind, is it true?"
Action: Think before you speak: is it kind, is it true?
