But when they measure or weigh for others, they give them less than they should.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "If a shop gave you a bag marked one kilogram but it only had most of a kilogram, how would you feel?"
Watch the National Physical Laboratory video about the kilogram.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What do these people do when they are giving?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Would anyone notice if a shop gave a tiny bit less?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Mutaffifin is surah 83. Find ayah 3. The key word yukhsirun means they cause loss, giving people less than they are owed.

Ages 5–8: Honest shop. Play shop with a kitchen scale. Weigh out exactly 100 grams of pasta for each "customer".
