The wrongdoers used to laugh at those who believed.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Has anyone ever laughed at you for doing something good? How did it feel?"
Watch the Natural History Museum video "Do hyenas laugh?".
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did the wrongdoers do to the believers?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why do some people laugh at good things?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Mutaffifin is surah 83. Find ayah 29. The key word yadhakun means they laughed. The wrongdoers mocked the believers just for believing.
Fact: Is a hyena really laughing when it makes its "giggle" sound?
Ages 5–8: Kind or unkind? Draw two faces: one laughing with someone, one laughing at someone. What's the difference?
Ages 9–12: Animal sounds. Find out what three animal "laughs" or calls really mean.
Finish with: "I found that a hyena's giggle really means ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will only laugh with people, never at them."
Action: Only laugh with people, never at them.
