4-I guide
Allah asks every person: what has fooled you about your Lord, the Most Generous?
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Have you ever thought you saw water on a hot road, but it disappeared when you got close?"
Watch the ScienceWorld video "What is a mirage?". (It has music.)
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What question does Allah ask?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What can fool us away from Allah?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Infitar is surah 82. Find ayah 6. Look for the name al-Karim: the Most Generous. Allah asks what tricked us into forgetting Him, when He has been so generous to us.
Fact: What causes a mirage on a hot road or in a desert?
Ages 5–8: Bent light. Put a pencil in a glass of water. Look from the side. Why does it look broken?
Ages 9–12: Mirage types. Find out the difference between an inferior and a superior mirage.
Finish with: "I found that a mirage happens when ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will list five gifts from Allah al-Karim and thank Him."
Action: List five gifts from Allah al-Karim and thank Him.
