4-I guide
…to him you were giving your full attention.
Start with bismillah.
Hold a magnifying glass over a page. Ask: "What happens to the words you focus on? And the rest?"
Watch the BumbleBerryKids video about how lenses bend light.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who was getting the attention?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Who deserves my attention?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah 'Abasa is surah 80. Find ayah 6. The key word tasadda means you turned towards him, giving him attention. The Prophet ﷺ hoped these leaders would believe and bring many others with them.
Fact: How does a lens focus light into one spot?
Ages 5–8: Focus game. Look at one object through a toilet-roll tube. What do you miss around it?
Ages 9–12: Lens test. Use a magnifying glass to make a sharp image of a window on paper. Why is it upside down?
Finish with: "I found that a lens focuses light by ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will give my full attention to someone who is often overlooked."
Action: Give your full attention to someone who is often overlooked.
