Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Before printers and computers, how did people make copies of books?"
Watch the British Library video about making quill pens.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Whose hands hold the pages?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Who are these scribes?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah 'Abasa is surah 80. Find ayah 15. The key word safarah means scribes, writers. Many scholars explain that these are angels who carry and write the Quran with care.
Fact: How did people make pens from feathers?
Ages 5–8: Careful copy. Copy one short ayah in your best handwriting. Take your time!
Ages 9–12: Calligraphy. Find out about Arabic calligraphy and the tools calligraphers use.
Finish with: "I found that quill pens were made by ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will do my homework neatly and carefully."
Action: Do your homework neatly and carefully.
