Juz 9 · Page 181وَمَا لَهُمْ أَلَّا يُعَذِّبَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَهُمْ يَصُدُّونَ عَنِ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ وَمَا كَانُوٓا۟ أَوْلِيَآءَهُۥٓ ۚ إِنْ أَوْلِيَآؤُهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱلْمُتَّقُونَ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
How to read it
Wa mā lahum' 'allā yuʻadhdhibahumu -llahu wahum' yaṣuddūna ʻani l-mas'jidi l-ḥarāmi wamā kānū 'aw'liyā'ahu . 'in' 'aw'liyā'uhu 'illā l-muttaqūna walākinna 'ak'tharahum' lā yaʻ'lamūna
But what plea have they that Allah should not punish them, when they keep out (men) from the sacred Mosque - and they are not its guardians? No men can be its guardians except the righteous; but most of them do not understand.
