Ask: "What can spoil a team after a win?"

Play the short clip from Hoor Academy of Mahmoud Khalil Al-Husary reciting ayat 1–8 of Al-Anfal.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What should the believers set right?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did Allah talk about friendship before sharing?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Anfal is surah 8. Find ayah 1. Al-Anfal means 'the gains', the things left behind after the Battle of Badr. Some companions disagreed about who should have them. Allah's first answer was: they belong to Allah and His Messenger, so fix your relationships first.

Fact: Where Badr is? A place with wells between Makkah and Madinah.

Ages 5–8: Make up. Say sorry or make peace with a brother, sister or friend.

Ages 9–12: Unity first. Write why getting along matters more than getting things.

Finish with: "Al-Anfal means the ___ of war."

Talk together:

• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• Why fix relationships first?
• Who can you make peace with?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will make peace after an argument."
