4-I guide
On that Day some hearts will be pounding with fear.
Start with bismillah.
Run on the spot for a minute, then put your hand on your chest. Ask: "What is your heart doing?"
Watch the Anxiety Canada video about how our bodies react when we're scared.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "How will some hearts feel on that Day?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can my heart be calm on that Day?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Nazi'at is surah 79. Find ayah 8. The key word wajifah means pounding, trembling with fear. Some hearts will be afraid on that Day. Remembering Allah now brings calm to our hearts.
Fact: What happens to the heart when we feel scared?
Ages 5–8: Calm breath. Breathe in slowly for four counts and out for four counts. How does your heart feel after?
Ages 9–12: Heart rate. Count your heartbeat at rest, after running, and after slow breathing.
Finish with: "I found that my heart beats faster when ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, when I feel worried, I will breathe slowly and say a dhikr."
Action: This week, when you feel worried, breathe slowly and say a dhikr.
