4-I guide
Allah asks: did We not make the earth a bed spread out for you?
Start with bismillah.
Lie down on a soft carpet or grass. Ask: "How does the ground feel? What's under it?"
Watch the SciShow Kids video "Where Does Soil Come From?".
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did Allah make the earth like?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How is the earth like a bed?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Naba is surah 78. Find ayah 6. The key word mihada means a bed, a cradle, a resting place spread out. Allah made the earth comfortable and ready for life.
Fact: How long does it take to make a few centimetres of soil?
Ages 5–8: Soil layers. Put soil, sand and pebbles in a jar of water. Shake it and let it settle. What layers do you see?
Ages 9–12: Earth facts. Find out what would happen if the ground were too hot, too hard or too wet for life.
Finish with: "I found that soil takes ___ years to form."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will thank Allah for the ground I walk on."
Action: Thank Allah for the ground you walk on.
