4-I guide
And We placed in the sky a blazing, shining lamp.
Start with bismillah.
Hold your hand in the sunshine. Ask: "What can you feel?"
Watch the Little School video "Solar Energy".
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What is the lamp?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How does the Sun keep burning?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Naba is surah 78. Find ayah 13. The key words sirajan wahhaja mean a blazing lamp. Scholars explain that this is the Sun, giving light and heat to the whole world.
Fact: How do solar panels turn sunlight into electricity?
Ages 5–8: Sun oven. Put a chocolate square on a plate in the sun and another in the shade. Which melts first?
Ages 9–12: Sun power. Find out how much of the world's electricity comes from solar panels.
Finish with: "I found that solar panels work by ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will open the curtains in the morning and thank Allah for the light."
Action: Open the curtains in the morning and thank Allah for the light.

Never look straight at the Sun.
