The reminder comes so that no one can say 'nobody told me', and as a warning.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why do we have smoke alarms and warning signs?"
Watch the video about New Zealand's DART buoys that warn of tsunamis.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What two reasons does the ayah give?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does Allah warn us before?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Mursalat is surah 77. Find ayah 6. The key words 'udhran aw nudhra mean as an excuse or a warning. Allah sends the reminder so no one can say "nobody told me", and to warn people in time.
Fact: How does a buoy in the ocean warn people about a tsunami?
Ages 5–8: Warning signs. Find three warning signs in your home or street. What does each one warn about?
Ages 9–12: Early warning. Find out how long people have to move to safety after a tsunami warning.
Finish with: "I found that tsunami buoys warn people by ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will listen to a reminder the first time."
Action: Listen to a reminder the first time.
