Start with bismillah.

Look closely at a pine cone or the middle of a sunflower. Ask: "Can you see a pattern?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does Allah say about His measuring?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Who taught the sunflower to make spirals?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Mursalat is surah 77. Find ayah 23. The key words faqadarna fa ni'mal-qadirun mean "We measured, and how excellent are We at measuring!" Allah measures every creature, even the number of seeds in a flower.

Fact: What is the Fibonacci pattern, and where does it appear in plants?

Ages 5–8: Spiral hunt. Look for spirals in a pine cone, a shell or a pineapple. Draw one.

Ages 9–12: Count it. Start with 1, 1. Add the last two numbers to get the next. Write the first ten numbers. Then count the spirals on a pine cone.

Finish with: "I found that the Fibonacci numbers go 1, 1, 2, 3, ___."
