4-I guide
After the lesson of the earlier peoples, woe on that Day to those who deny.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What's one mistake you learned something from?"
Watch the TED-Ed video about how to overcome your mistakes.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who is warned again?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why do people repeat the same mistakes?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Mursalat is surah 77. Find ayah 19. This is the second time the line about the deniers appears. It comes right after ayat 16–18 about earlier peoples. People can learn from history instead of repeating it.
Fact: What does your brain do when you learn from a mistake?
Ages 5–8: Oops chart. Draw one mistake you made and what you'll do differently next time.
Ages 9–12: History lesson. Find one invention that only worked after many failures. What did the inventor learn?
Finish with: "I found that mistakes help us learn because ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, when I make a mistake, I will say astaghfirullah and try again."
Action: This week, when you make a mistake, say astaghfirullah and try again.
