No reflections for this ayah yet. Be the first, by reflecting with the 4-I journey below!
4-I guide
On that Day, woe to those who called the truth a lie.
Start with bismillah.
Tell two "facts", one true and one made up. Ask: "Which one is true? How can you tell?"
Watch the CBC Kids video Fact vs. Fake.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who is this ayah warning?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why do some people deny the truth?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Mursalat is surah 77. Find ayah 15. The key words waylun and al-mukadhdhibin mean woe and those who deny. This line comes ten times in this surah! Each time, it follows a new sign. Here it follows the Day of Decision.
Fact: How can you check whether something you read online is true?
Ages 5–8: Detective. Look at three pictures with an adult. Is each one real or made up?
Ages 9–12: Check it. Pick one claim you heard this week. Find two good sources that agree or disagree.
Finish with: "I found that to check a fact, I can ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will check before I share anything I hear."
Action: Check before you share anything you hear.
