إِنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ يُحِبُّونَ ٱلْعَاجِلَةَ وَيَذَرُونَ وَرَآءَهُمْ يَوْمًۭا ثَقِيلًۭا
'Inna hā'ulā'i yuḥibbūna l-ʻājilata wayadharūna warā'ahum' yaw'man thaqīlan
As to these, they love the fleeting life, and put away behind them a Day (that will be) hard.

These people love this fast-passing life and put a heavy Day behind them.
Start with bismillah.
Blow a soap bubble and watch it. Ask: "How long did it last?"
Watch the Slow Mo Guys video of a bubble bursting in slow motion.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What do these people love?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why do people forget what lasts?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Insan is surah 76. Find ayah 27. The key word al-'ajilah means what is quick and passing. Some people love only this world and forget a heavy Day ahead. A mayfly lives as an adult for only a day or so. This life passes quickly too.
Fact: How long does an adult mayfly live?
Ages 5–8: Bubble timer. Blow bubbles and count how many seconds each one lasts.
Ages 9–12: Short or lasting. List five things you enjoy. Which last a short time, and which last forever?
Finish with: "I found that an adult mayfly lives for ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will spend some of my play time on something that lasts, like learning Quran."
Action: Spend some play time on lasting things.
