فَٱصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تُطِعْ مِنْهُمْ ءَاثِمًا أَوْ كَفُورًۭا
Fa-ṣ'bir' liḥuk'mi rabbika walā tuṭiʻ' min'hum' 'āthiman 'aw' kafūran
Therefore be patient with constancy to the Command of thy Lord, and hearken not to the sinner or the ingrate among them.

So be patient with your Lord's decision, and do not follow those who sin or reject.
Start with bismillah.
Turn over a sand timer and wait together in silence. Ask: "Was waiting easy or hard?"
Watch the Big Ideas for Little Humans video about patience.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What is the Prophet told to do?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I be patient when things are hard?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Insan is surah 76. Find ayah 24. The key words fasbir li-hukmi rabbik mean be patient with your Lord's decision. The Prophet was told to stay patient and not follow people who wanted him to give up the truth.
Fact: How long can a desert tortoise live?
Ages 5–8: Wait game. Put a treat on the table. Can you wait five minutes before eating it?
Ages 9–12: Peer pressure. Write what you could say if a friend asked you to do something wrong.
Finish with: "I found that a desert tortoise can live for ___ years."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will say no politely if someone asks me to do something wrong."
Action: Say no politely if someone asks you to do something wrong.
