وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَ ثَمَّ رَأَيْتَ نَعِيمًۭا وَمُلْكًۭا كَبِيرًا
Wa 'idhā ra'ay'ta thamma ra'ay'ta naʻīman wamul'kan kabīran
And when thou lookest, it is there thou wilt see a Bliss and a Realm Magnificent.

Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How far do you think space goes?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How big is Jannah?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Insan is surah 76. Find ayah 20. The key words na'iman wa mulkan kabira mean bliss and a great kingdom. The universe is huge, with countless galaxies. Jannah is a kingdom beyond anything we can picture.
Fact: How many galaxies do scientists think there are?
Ages 5–8: Galaxy count. Look at the Hubble Deep Field picture. Count the galaxies in one small square.
Ages 9–12: Scale model. If the Sun were a football, how far away would the next star be?
Finish with: "I found that there may be about ___ galaxies."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will look at the night sky and say Allahu akbar."
Action: Look at the night sky and say Allahu akbar.
