4-I guide
They are given a drink there flavoured with zanjabil, which is ginger.
Start with bismillah.
Smell a piece of fresh ginger. Ask: "What does it smell like? Is it sweet, spicy or both?"
Watch the Epic Gardening video about growing ginger.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What flavour is the drink?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did Allah mention ginger?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Insan is surah 76. Find ayah 17. The key word zanjabil means ginger. The Arabs loved its warm taste. The drink of Jannah has this flavour, but it is far better than anything here.
Fact: Which part of the ginger plant do we eat?
Ages 5–8: Grow ginger. Put a piece of ginger with a bud in a pot of soil. Water it and watch for a shoot.
Ages 9–12: Spice map. Find where ginger first grew and how it travelled around the world.
Finish with: "I found that the part of ginger we eat is the ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will try one new healthy food and thank Allah for it."
Action: Try one new healthy food and thank Allah for it.

Ginger is spicy. Taste only a tiny piece.
