And the person becomes sure that it is the time of parting.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How do baby birds know when it's time to leave the nest?"
Watch the I Wonder Why video about when baby birds leave the nest.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does the person become sure of?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What comes after leaving this world?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Qiyamah is surah 75. Find ayah 28. The key word al-firaq means parting. At the end of life, a person knows it's time to leave this world. A fledgling leaves the nest for a bigger world; the soul moves on to meet Allah.
Fact: How long do baby birds stay in the nest?
Ages 5–8: Nest picture. Draw a nest with eggs, then with chicks, then empty as they fly away.
Ages 9–12: Bird timeline. Pick a bird and find how many days from egg to flying.
Finish with: "I found that baby birds stay in the nest for about ___ days."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will spend time with an older relative."
Action: Spend time with an older relative.
