4-I guide
Every soul is held responsible for what it has earned.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "If you plant a seed, what will grow?"
Watch the Learn Bright video Cause and Effect for Kids.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What is each soul held by?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What am I earning each day?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Muddaththir is surah 74. Find ayah 38. The key words kullu nafsin bima kasabat rahinah describe each soul being kept, like a pledge, by its own deeds. Our deeds link together like a chain. Good deeds lead to good, and wrong deeds lead to harm.
Fact: What is the difference between a cause and an effect?
Ages 5–8: Cause and effect cards. Draw a cause (watering a plant) and its effect (the plant grows).
Ages 9–12: Deed chain. Write a chain of five events that started with one kind act.
Finish with: "I found that a cause is ___ and an effect is ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will start a chain of kindness with one good deed."
Action: Start a chain of kindness with one good deed.
