Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What happens to your skin if you stay in the sun too long?"
Watch the SciShow Kids video Why Should You Wear Sunscreen?
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does it do to the skin?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How does Allah protect us from harm now?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Muddaththir is surah 74. Find ayah 29. The key words lawwahatun lil-bashar mean it scorches the skin. Even the Sun on Earth can burn our skin. Allah gave us shade, clothes and care to protect us now.
Fact: What part of sunlight burns the skin?
Ages 5–8: Shade check. Find the shadiest spot in your garden or park at midday.
Ages 9–12: Paper test. Leave coloured paper in the sun with half covered. After a few days, compare the halves.
Finish with: "I found that sunburn is caused by ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will wear a hat and drink water when it's sunny."
Action: Wear a hat and drink water when it's sunny.
