مِّمَّا خَطِيٓـَٰٔتِهِمْ أُغْرِقُوا۟ فَأُدْخِلُوا۟ نَارًۭا فَلَمْ يَجِدُوا۟ لَهُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَنصَارًۭا
Mmimmā khaṭī'ātihim' 'ugh'riqū fa'ud'khilū nāran falam' yajidū lahum mmin dūni -llahi 'anṣāran
Because of their sins they were drowned (in the flood), and were made to enter the Fire (of Punishment): and they found- in lieu of Allah- none to help them.

Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How deep do you think the ocean is?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who could help them?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is Allah our true helper?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Nuh is surah 71. Find ayah 25. The key words mimma khati'atihim mean because of their sins. After many years of warnings, the flood came, and their idols could not help them. The deep ocean shows how great Allah's power over water is.
Fact: How deep is the deepest part of the ocean?
Ages 5–8: Ocean layers. Fill a tall glass with three layers of coloured water (with honey, oil and water). Label them like ocean zones.
Ages 9–12: Deep sea life. Find three animals that live in the deep, dark zone.
Finish with: "I found that the deepest part of the ocean is about ___ deep."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, when I need help, I will ask Allah first."
Action: This week, when you need help, ask Allah first.
