وَقَالُوا۟ لَا تَذَرُنَّ ءَالِهَتَكُمْ وَلَا تَذَرُنَّ وَدًّۭا وَلَا سُوَاعًۭا وَلَا يَغُوثَ وَيَعُوقَ وَنَسْرًۭا
Wa qālū lā tadharunna 'ālihatakum' walā tadharunna waddan walā sūāʻan walā yaghūtha wayaʻūqa wanas'ran
"And they have said (to each other), 'Abandon not your gods: Abandon neither Wadd nor Suwa', neither Yaguth nor Ya'uq, nor Nasr';-

They told each other never to abandon their gods, naming five idols.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Have friends ever pushed you to do something you didn't want to do?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did the leaders tell the people?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I stand firm when others push me?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Nuh is surah 71. Find ayah 23. The key words la tadharunna alihatakum mean do not abandon your gods. Scholars say these idols began as statues of good people, and later generations started worshipping them. The leaders pushed everyone to keep them.
Fact: How do penguins keep their place in a huge crowd?
Ages 5–8: Say no politely. Practise three polite ways to say no when friends push you.
Ages 9–12: Stand firm. Write about a time you did the right thing even when others didn't.
Finish with: "I found that saying no politely can sound like ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will say no politely to something I know is wrong."
Action: Say no politely to something you know is wrong.
