4-I guide
So be patient with a beautiful patience.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How long do you think a coral reef takes to grow?"
Watch the California Academy of Sciences video How Do Corals Build Reefs?
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What kind of patience is asked for?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What makes patience beautiful?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Ma'arij is surah 70. Find ayah 5. The key words sabran jamila mean beautiful patience: patience without complaining. The Prophet was told to be patient with people who mocked. Corals grow only a few centimetres a year, yet build huge reefs.
Fact: How fast does a coral reef grow each year?
Ages 5–8: Patient plant. Plant a seed and promise not to dig it up to check. Wait and watch.
Ages 9–12: Patience without complaining. For one day, try not to complain at all. Note how it feels.
Finish with: "I found that corals grow about ___ a year."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, when I have to wait, I will smile instead of complaining."
Action: This week, when you have to wait, smile instead of complaining.
