عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّبَدِّلَ خَيْرًۭا مِّنْهُمْ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَسْبُوقِينَ
ʻalā 'an nnubaddila khay'ran mmin'hum' wamā naḥ'nu bimas'būqīna
Substitute for them better (men) than they; And We are not to be defeated (in Our Plan).

Allah is able to replace them with people better than them, and nothing can stop Him.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What grows back first after a forest is cleared?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What is Allah able to do?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does Allah not need anyone?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Ma'arij is surah 70. Find ayah 41. The key words nubaddila khayran minhum mean We replace them with better. Allah doesn't need anyone. In nature, new plants grow where old ones were, from lichens on bare rock to tall forests.
Fact: What is the first living thing to grow on bare rock?
Ages 5–8: Lichen hunt. Look for lichen on walls, rocks or trees. Draw it.
Ages 9–12: Succession steps. Draw the stages from bare rock to forest.
Finish with: "I found that ___ grows first on bare rock."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will replace one bad habit with a better one."
Action: Replace one bad habit with a better one.
