4-I guide
This punishment is from Allah, Lord of the ways of rising up (al-Ma'arij), the One high above everything.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How does an eagle rise higher and higher without flapping?"
Watch the Cornell Lab video Golden Eagle Soaring on a Thermal.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What is Allah called?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I grow higher in good deeds?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Ma'arij is surah 70. Find ayah 3. The surah is named after the key word al-ma'arij: the ways of ascent. Allah is the Lord of the ways of ascent, the One high above everything in His greatness. Allah is not in a place, and nothing is like Him. If your child asks more, take the question to an ustaz or ustazah. Just as an eagle rises slowly on warm air, we can grow in goodness little by little.
Fact: What is a thermal, and how do birds use it?
Ages 5–8: Paper spiral. Hang a paper spiral over a warm radiator (with an adult). Watch it turn as warm air rises.
Ages 9–12: High fliers. Find the highest-flying birds and how high they go.
Finish with: "I found that a thermal is ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will grow a little more in one good habit."
Action: Grow a little more in one good habit.

Only use warm air sources with an adult.
