ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ شُعَيْبًۭا كَأَن لَّمْ يَغْنَوْا۟ فِيهَا ۚ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ شُعَيْبًۭا كَانُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ
Alladhīna kadhdhabū shuʻay'ban ka'an llam' yagh'naw' fīhā . -lladhīna kadhdhabū shuʻay'ban kānū humu l-khāssirīna
The men who reject Shu'aib became as if they had never been in the homes where they had flourished: the men who rejected Shu'aib - it was they who were ruined!

Those who denied Shu'ayb became as if they had never lived in their homes; it was they who were the losers.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Who turned out to be the real losers?"
Hear the opening minutes of Al-A'raf in Nasser Al-Qatami's voice, from Sufyan Qadhi.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "How did their homes become?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did the leaders' warning turn back on them?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-A'raf is surah 7. Find ayah 92. The leaders said following Shu'ayb would make people losers. In the end, the leaders themselves lost everything, mentioned in one line.
Fact: Find 7:90: the leaders' claim that turned back on them.
Ages 5–8: Turned around. Talk about how the leaders' claim came true for them.
Ages 9–12: Real losers. Write how the story turned around.
Finish with: "It was ___ who were the losers."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will remember the real winners are believers."
Action: Remember the real winners are believers.
