Wa 'idhā quri'a l-qur''ānu fa-s'tamiʻū lahu wa'anṣitū laʻallakum' tur'ḥamūna

4-I guide
When the Qur'an is recited, listen to it and be silent, so that you may receive mercy.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How should we behave when the Qur'an is recited?"
Put on Nasser Al-Qatami's Al-A'raf from Al-Quran and follow along for a little while.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What should we do when it's recited?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How does listening bring mercy?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-A'raf is surah 7. Find ayah 204. When the Qur'an is read, we stop talking and listen carefully. Listening with respect brings Allah's mercy.
Fact: Find Al-Ahqaf 46:29: even jinn listened silently to the Qur'an.
Ages 5–8: Quiet listening. Listen to a short surah without talking.
Ages 9–12: Mercy. Write how listening to the Qur'an brings mercy.
Finish with: "Even jinn listened ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will listen silently whenever the Qur'an is recited."
Action: Listen silently whenever the Qur'an is recited.
