وَٱلَّذِينَ يُمَسِّكُونَ بِٱلْكِتَٰبِ وَأَقَامُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ إِنَّا لَا نُضِيعُ أَجْرَ ٱلْمُصْلِحِينَ
Wa -lladhīna yumassikūna bil-kitābi wa'aqāmū ṣṣalāta 'innā lā nuḍīʻu 'aj'ra l-muṣ'liḥīna
As to those who hold fast by the Book and establish regular prayer,- never shall We suffer the reward of the righteous to perish.

Those who hold fast to the Book and keep up the prayer, Allah never lets the reward of those who set things right go to waste.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What does it mean to hold fast to something?"
Saud Al-Shuraim's full recitation of the surah is on his channel. Skip near the end and listen for a few minutes around this ayah.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What two things do they do?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why are the Book and prayer linked?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-A'raf is surah 7. Find ayah 170. Holding the Book means following it seriously. With prayer, it keeps us steady. Allah never wastes their reward.
Fact: Find Al-Imran 3:103: hold fast to the rope of Allah.
Ages 5–8: Hold fast. Hold a rope tightly and talk about holding the Qur'an.
Ages 9–12: Two anchors. Write how the Qur'an and prayer keep us steady.
Finish with: "Hold fast to the ___ of Allah."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will read Qur'an after one prayer daily."
Action: Read Qur'an after one prayer daily.
