وَلَمَّا رَجَعَ مُوسَىٰٓ إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ غَضْبَٰنَ أَسِفًۭا قَالَ بِئْسَمَا خَلَفْتُمُونِى مِنۢ بَعْدِىٓ ۖ أَعَجِلْتُمْ أَمْرَ رَبِّكُمْ ۖ وَأَلْقَى ٱلْأَلْوَاحَ وَأَخَذَ بِرَأْسِ أَخِيهِ يَجُرُّهُۥٓ إِلَيْهِ ۚ قَالَ ٱبْنَ أُمَّ إِنَّ ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱسْتَضْعَفُونِى وَكَادُوا۟ يَقْتُلُونَنِى فَلَا تُشْمِتْ بِىَ ٱلْأَعْدَآءَ وَلَا تَجْعَلْنِى مَعَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
How to read it
Wa lammā rajaʻa mūssā 'ilā qaw'mihī ghaḍ'bāna 'assifan qāla bi''samā khalaf'tumūnī min[m] baʻ'dī . 'aʻajiltum' 'am'ra rabbikum' . wa'al'qāl-'al'wāḥa wa'akhadha bira''si 'akhīhi yajurruhu 'ilay'hi . qāla (i)b'na 'umma 'inna l-qaw'ma (i)s'taḍ'ʻafūnī wakādū yaq'tulūnanī falā tush'mit' biya l-'aʻ'dā'a walā taj'ʻalnī maʻa l-qaw'mi ẓẓālimīna
When Moses came back to his people, angry and grieved, he said: "Evil it is that ye have done in my place in my absence: did ye make haste to bring on the judgment of your Lord?" He put down the tablets, seized his brother by (the hair of) his head, and dragged him to him. Aaron said: "Son of my mother! the people did indeed reckon me as naught, and went near to slaying me! Make not the enemies rejoice over my misfortune, nor count thou me amongst the people of sin."
