قَالَ أَغَيْرَ ٱللَّهِ أَبْغِيكُمْ إِلَٰهًۭا وَهُوَ فَضَّلَكُمْ عَلَى ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
Qāla 'aghay'ra -llahi 'ab'ghīkum' 'ilāhan wahuwa faḍḍalakum' ʻalāl-ʻālamīna
He said: "Shall I seek for you a god other than the (true) Allah, when it is Allah Who hath endowed you with gifts above the nations?"

Musa asked, 'Shall I look for a god for you other than Allah, when He has favoured you over the people of the world?'
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why look elsewhere when Allah has given you so much?"
Settle down and play the start of Muhammad Siddiq Al-Minshawi's Al-A'raf (Aq).
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What had Allah done for them?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is it ungrateful to look for other gods?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-A'raf is surah 7. Find ayah 140. Allah had saved them and blessed them greatly. Musa reminded them: why seek another god after all that?
Fact: Find Al-Baqarah 2:47: I favoured you over the worlds.
Ages 5–8: Count favours. Name favours Allah has given you.
Ages 9–12: Gratitude. Write why remembering favours keeps faith strong.
Finish with: "I favoured you over the ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will count Allah's favours on me."
Action: Count Allah's favours on you.
