فَلَمَّا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُمُ ٱلرِّجْزَ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ هُم بَٰلِغُوهُ إِذَا هُمْ يَنكُثُونَ
Falammā kashaf'nā ʻan'humu rrij'za 'ilā 'ajalin hum bālighūhu 'idhā hum' yankuthūna
But every time We removed the penalty from them according to a fixed term which they had to fulfil,- Behold! they broke their word!

But each time Allah removed the punishment for a set time, they broke their promise.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What happens to trust after promises are broken again and again?"
Begin Yasser Al-Dosari's Al-A'raf on الحامد and listen for a few minutes.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did they do each time?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did they keep breaking promises?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-A'raf is surah 7. Find ayah 135. Every time things got better, they forgot their promise. Broken promises destroy trust.
Fact: Find Al-Isra 17:34: promises will be asked about.
Ages 5–8: Promise jar. Write a promise and keep it.
Ages 9–12: Trust. Write how broken promises affect trust.
Finish with: "Promises will be ___ about."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will keep every promise."
Action: Keep every promise.
