Qālū 'ar'jih' wa'akhāhu wa'ar'sil' fī l-madā'ini ḥāshirīna
They said: "Keep him and his brother in suspense (for a while); and send to the cities men to collect-

They said, 'Hold back him and his brother, and send messengers to the cities to gather people.'
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What would you do if you wanted to beat the truth?"
For a few quiet minutes, listen to Muhammad Siddiq Al-Minshawi reciting Al-A'raf, shared by Daily Deen - Quran Recitations.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Whom did they want to gather?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did they think more people could beat the truth?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-A'raf is surah 7. Find ayah 111. Pharaoh's advisers planned to gather the most skilled sorcerers from every city. They thought numbers could defeat Allah's truth.
Fact: The name of Musa's brother: Harun.
Ages 5–8: Not by numbers. Talk about how truth isn't decided by numbers.
Ages 9–12: Plan. Write why their plan was doomed.
Finish with: "Musa's brother was ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will stay with the truth even if few agree."
