قَالَ ٱلْمَلَأُ مِن قَوْمِ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَسَٰحِرٌ عَلِيمٌۭ
Qāla l-mala'u min qaw'mi fir'ʻaw'na 'inna hādhā lassāḥirun ʻalīmun
Said the Chiefs of the people of Pharaoh: "This is indeed a sorcerer well-versed.

The chiefs of Pharaoh's people said, 'This is surely a skilled sorcerer.'
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why do people call something fake when they don't want to accept it?"
Begin Idrees Abkar's Al-A'raf on Sakoon and listen for a few minutes.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did the chiefs call Musa?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did they call a miracle magic?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-A'raf is surah 7. Find ayah 109. Instead of accepting the signs, the chiefs called Musa a magician. People sometimes make excuses to avoid the truth.
Fact: Why Islam forbids magic? It relies on other than Allah.
Ages 5–8: No excuses. Talk about accepting truth without excuses.
Ages 9–12: Excuses. Write why people make excuses to reject truth.
Finish with: "They called Musa a ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will accept correction without excuses."
Action: Accept correction without excuses.
