أَمْ لَكُمْ أَيْمَٰنٌ عَلَيْنَا بَٰلِغَةٌ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ ۙ إِنَّ لَكُمْ لَمَا تَحْكُمُونَ
'Am' lakum' 'ay'mānun ʻalay'nā bālighatun 'ilā yaw'mi l-qiyāmati 'inna lakum' lamā taḥ'kumūna
Or have ye Covenants with Us to oath, reaching to the Day of Judgment, (providing) that ye shall have whatever ye shall demand?

Or have We given you firm promises, lasting until Judgement Day, that you'll get whatever you decide?
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What's a contract, and why do people sign them?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What kind of promise did they claim to have?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is a promise like a contract?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Qalam is surah 68. Find ayah 39. The key word aymanun means oaths or firm promises. They acted as if Allah had signed a deal to give them whatever they wanted. Allah made no such promise. A real contract is written and agreed; their claim was empty.
Fact: What makes a contract fair?
Ages 5–8: Family promise. Write a simple promise with a family member and both sign it.
Ages 9–12: Contract parts. Find the main parts of a simple contract (who, what, when, signatures).
Finish with: "I found that a fair contract needs ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will keep every promise I make."
Action: Keep every promise you make.
