So they set off, whispering quietly to one another.
Start with bismillah.
Whisper and then speak normally. Ask: "What's different about a whisper?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "How were they talking?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did they whisper?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Qalam is surah 68. Find ayah 23. The key words wa hum yatakhafatun mean while they spoke in low voices. They whispered so the poor wouldn't hear their plan. People whisper to hide things, but Allah hears every whisper.
Fact: Why does a whisper sound different from normal speech?
Ages 5–8: Voice test. Put your hand on your throat. Talk, then whisper. What do you feel?
Ages 9–12: Good secrets, bad secrets. Write the difference between a surprise and a harmful secret.
Finish with: "I found that whispering sounds different because ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will not whisper about anyone."
Action: Not whisper about anyone.
