وَأَسِرُّوا۟ قَوْلَكُمْ أَوِ ٱجْهَرُوا۟ بِهِۦٓ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ عَلِيمٌۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ
Wa 'assirrū qaw'lakum' 'awi (i)j'harū bihī . 'innahu ʻalīmun[m] bidhāti ṣṣudūri
And whether ye hide your word or publish it, He certainly has (full) knowledge, of the secrets of (all) hearts.

Whether you speak quietly or aloud, Allah knows well what is inside every heart.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Can anyone see exactly what you're feeling inside?"
Watch the Hey! Guess What video What Are Feelings?
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does Allah know?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How does Allah know my feelings before I say them?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Mulk is surah 67. Find ayah 13. The key words bi-dhatis-sudur mean what is in the chests (hearts). People can hide their feelings from each other, but not from Allah. That's a comfort: Allah understands us even when we can't find the words.
Fact: What are six main feelings scientists talk about?
Ages 5–8: Feelings faces. Draw happy, sad, angry, scared, surprised and calm faces.
Ages 9–12: Feelings diary. Write down your feelings three times a day for a week.
Finish with: "I found that six main feelings are ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will tell Allah how I feel in my own words."
Action: Tell Allah how you feel in your own words.
