Start with bismillah.

Ask: "What should you do if you promised something and later found it wasn't a good idea?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does Allah call Himself in this ayah?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is it important to think before making a promise?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah At-Tahrim is surah 66. Find ayah 2. The key word mawlakum means your Protector and Helper. Allah, in His wisdom, made a way to undo certain oaths; your teachers can explain how this works. Promises are serious, so we should think carefully before we make them.

Fact: What does "wisdom" mean?

Ages 5–8: Think first. Before promising anything this week, count to five and ask, "Can I really do this?"

Ages 9–12: Promise check. Write three promises you've made and whether each was wise.

Finish with: "I found that wisdom means ___."

Talk together:
