يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّبِىُّ لِمَ تُحَرِّمُ مَآ أَحَلَّ ٱللَّهُ لَكَ ۖ تَبْتَغِى مَرْضَاتَ أَزْوَٰجِكَ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ
yā'ayyuhā nnabiyyu lima tuḥarrimu mā 'aḥalla -llahu laka . tab'taghī mar'ḍāta 'az'wājika . wa-llahu ghafūrun rraḥīmun
O Prophet! Why holdest thou to be forbidden that which Allah has made lawful to thee? Thou seekest to please thy consorts. But Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Allah lovingly reminds the Prophet (peace be upon him) to keep to what Allah has allowed and not to give it up to please others, and reminds him that Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
Start with bismillah.
Taste a little honey (or look at a jar). Ask: "How many good things has Allah given us to enjoy?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Which two names of Allah end this ayah?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does Allah want us to enjoy the good things He allows?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah At-Tahrim is surah 66, and it has twelve ayat. Find ayah 1. The surah's name means "making something forbidden". The key words ma ahallallahu laka mean what Allah has made allowed for you. Allah speaks to the Prophet gently and lovingly here. The good things Allah allows, like honey, fruit and water, are gifts to enjoy with thanks.
Fact: How many flowers do bees visit to make one spoon of honey?
Ages 5–8: Gift list. Draw five good foods Allah has given us and say alhamdulillah for each.
Ages 9–12: Bee maths. Find out how far bees fly to make one jar of honey.
Finish with: "I found that bees visit about ___ flowers for one spoon of honey."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will say alhamdulillah for one good food every day."
Action: Say alhamdulillah for one good food every day.
