4-I guide
Believers, why do you say things that you do not do?
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "If someone says 'I'll help!' and then doesn't, how does it feel?"
Watch the Mr. Omar's Classroom video Trustworthiness.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What question does Allah ask the believers?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I make my actions match my words?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah As-Saff is surah 61. Find ayah 2. The key words ma la taf'alun mean what you do not do. Allah gently asks believers why their words and actions don't match. A trustworthy person's footsteps follow the path their words point to.
Fact: What does "trustworthy" mean?
Ages 5–8: Promise and do. Say one helpful thing you'll do today and then do it.
Ages 9–12: Words and deeds. Keep a list for a week: what you said you'd do, and whether you did it.
Finish with: "I found that trustworthy means ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will only promise what I can really do."
Action: Only promise what you can really do.
