ثُمَّ لَمْ تَكُن فِتْنَتُهُمْ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوا۟ وَٱللَّهِ رَبِّنَا مَا كُنَّا مُشْرِكِينَ
Thumma lam' takun fit'natuhum' 'illā 'an qālū wa-llahi rabbinā mā kunnā mush'rikīna
There will then be (left) no subterfuge for them but to say: "By Allah our Lord, we were not those who joined gods with Allah."

Their only excuse will be to swear by Allah that they never set up partners with Him.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why do people make excuses when they are caught?"
Ayat 21 to 30 are read clearly by NgajiBareng04. Listen and try to follow along in a mushaf.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What will they swear?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Will excuses work on that Day?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-An'am is surah 6. Find ayah 23. On the Last Day, some will try to deny what they did. But Allah knows everything, and even their own limbs will speak.
Fact: In Ya-Sin 36:65, hands and feet speak on the Day.
Ages 5–8: No excuses. Practise saying 'sorry, I did it' instead of an excuse.
Ages 9–12: Honest owning. Write why owning mistakes now is better than excuses later.
Finish with: "Excuses won't work on the ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will own a mistake without making excuses."
Action: Own a mistake without making excuses.
