Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does Shaytan do after tricking someone?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I spot bad advice?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Hashr is surah 59. Find ayah 16. The key words inni bari'un minka mean I have nothing to do with you. Shaytan whispers bad ideas, then abandons the person who follows them. In the fable, the fox flatters the crow to get the cheese, then leaves. Tricksters never stay to help.

Ages 5–8: Spot the trick. Act out the fox and the crow. What should the crow have done?

Ages 9–12: Advice check. Write three questions to ask before following someone's advice.

Finish with: "I found that flattery means ___."

Talk together:

• How does Shaytan try to trick people?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• How can we protect ourselves from bad advice?
• Who gives us good advice?
• What would you like to ask about this ayah?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will ask Allah's protection when I feel tempted."
