4-I guide
So which of your Lord's favours would you two deny?
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How does your skin feel soft, hard, hot and cold?"
Watch the Smile and Learn video The Sense of Touch.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Which of our senses can we thank Allah for now?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What would it be like if I couldn't feel anything?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ar-Rahman is surah 55. Find ayah 75. The key word tukadhdhiban means you both deny. Our skin is full of tiny sensors that feel warmth, cold, softness and pain. Touch lets us hug, feel a cool breeze and pull away from danger. It is a favour we use every second.
Fact: Which part of the body is most sensitive to touch?
Ages 5–8: Mystery bag. Put objects in a bag and guess each one by touch alone.
Ages 9–12: Two-point test. Touch your arm and fingertip with two pencil points close together and see where you can feel two points.
Finish with: "I found that the most sensitive part is ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will give my family a hug and say I love you."
Action: Give your family a hug and say you love you.
