4-I guide
Which of the favours of your Lord can either of you deny?
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why do plants grow so well after rain?"
Watch the Gardening Australia video Why rain water is good for your plants.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What keeps gardens on Earth green?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is rain better for plants than tap water?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ar-Rahman is surah 55. Find ayah 65. The key word tukadhdhiban means you both deny. Rain is soft, fresh water that plants love. After a good rain, gardens look brighter and greener. Allah sends rain to bring the earth back to life.
Fact: Why is rainwater good for plants?
Ages 5–8: Rain catcher. Put out a bowl to catch rain and use it to water a plant.
Ages 9–12: Rain record. Record how much rain falls for a week and how the plants look.
Finish with: "I found that rainwater is good for plants because ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will make du'a when the rain falls."
Action: Make du'a when the rain falls.
