4-I guide
So which of the gifts of your Lord would you two call a lie?
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How does a river begin?"
Watch the Grammarsaurus video How is a river formed?
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What earthly blessing do the springs of Jannah remind us of?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did people long ago build towns beside rivers?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ar-Rahman is surah 55. Find ayah 51. The key word rabbikuma means your Lord, for both of you. Rivers start as tiny springs and streams in the hills and grow as they travel to the sea. They water farms, give fish, carry boats and bring life to cities.
Fact: What is the longest river in the world?
Ages 5–8: River drawing. Draw a river from its source in the hills to the sea.
Ages 9–12: River towns. Find three famous cities built beside rivers.
Finish with: "I found that the longest river is the ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will learn the name of the nearest river to my home."
Action: Learn the name of the nearest river to your home.
