4-I guide
Then which of your Lord's blessings will the two of you deny?
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What would happen if the Earth lost its atmosphere?"
Watch the Peekaboo Kidz video What If Earth Lost Its Atmosphere?
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What protects us from the dangers of space?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How does a thin layer of air keep us safe?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ar-Rahman is surah 55. Find ayah 34. The key words fa bi-ayyi ala'i mean so which of the blessings. Space is cold, airless and full of harmful rays, yet we live safely under a thin blanket of air. The atmosphere gives us air to breathe, keeps us warm and blocks harmful sunlight.
Fact: What are the layers of the atmosphere called?
Ages 5–8: Blanket test. Feel a cup of warm water with and without a lid on it after ten minutes. What does the lid do?
Ages 9–12: Layer chart. Draw the layers of the atmosphere and write one fact about each.
Finish with: "I found that the atmosphere's layers are ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will walk or cycle once instead of going by car."
Action: Walk or cycle once instead of going by car.
