4-I guide
He created the human from dry clay that rings like pottery.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How does soft clay become a hard pot?"
Watch the HowItsMade video How Its Made: Pottery.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What was the human created from?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did Allah make the first human from clay?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ar-Rahman is surah 55. Find ayah 14. The key word salsal means dry clay that makes a ringing sound. The first human, Adam, was formed from clay. Potters shape clay and bake it until it is hard and rings when tapped. Allah shaped the first person and then gave him life.
Fact: What happens to clay when it is fired in a kiln?
Ages 5–8: Clay shapes. Make a small pot or animal from clay or playdough.
Ages 9–12: Pottery steps. Write the steps from wet clay to a finished pot.
Finish with: "I found that firing clay makes it ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will stay humble when I do well at something."
Action: Stay humble when you do well at something.
