۞ كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍۢ فَكَذَّبُوا۟ عَبْدَنَا وَقَالُوا۟ مَجْنُونٌۭ وَٱزْدُجِرَ
kadhdhabat' qab'lahum' qaw'mu nūḥin fakadhdhabū ʻab'danā waqālū maj'nūnun wa-z'dujira
Before them the People of Noah rejected (their messenger): they rejected Our servant, and said, "Here is one possessed!", and he was driven out.

Before them, the people of Nuh denied; they called Our servant mad and drove him off.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What can you do when someone teases you?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "How did the people of Nuh treat him?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How did Prophet Nuh stay patient for so long?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Qamar is surah 54. Find ayah 9. The key word majnun means mad. Prophet Nuh, peace be upon him, called his people to Allah for hundreds of years. They called him names and pushed him away, but he never gave up on his message or answered with rudeness.
Fact: What are three calm ways to respond to teasing?
Ages 5–8: Calm words. Practise saying "Please stop" in a calm, strong voice.
Ages 9–12: Patience plan. Write what you can say and do if someone mocks you for doing the right thing.
Finish with: "I found that calm ways to respond are ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will answer unkindness with calm words."
Action: Answer unkindness with calm words.
