وَلَقَدْ أَنذَرَهُم بَطْشَتَنَا فَتَمَارَوْا۟ بِٱلنُّذُرِ
Wa laqad' 'andharahum baṭ'shatanā fatamāraw' bi nnudhuri
And (Lut) did warn them of Our Punishment, but they disputed about the Warning.

Ask: "How can we get along even when we disagree?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did the people do with Lut's warning?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why do people argue instead of listening?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Qamar is surah 54. Find ayah 36. The key word tamaraw means they argued and doubted. Lut warned his people clearly, but instead of thinking, they argued. Sometimes arguing is a way to avoid changing. Listening first is wiser.
Fact: What are some ways to calm down before answering in an argument?
Ages 5–8: Listen first. In a game, repeat what the other person said before you answer.
Ages 9–12: Argue or listen. Write the difference between a helpful discussion and an unhelpful argument.
Finish with: "I found that one way to calm down is ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will listen fully before answering back."
Action: Listen fully before answering back.
